Create threads, exchange messages with the Gidgebot OpenAI Cook County Legal Assistant, and ground drafting in state and county authorities via vector retrieval.
Start a matter-specific thread and collaborate with the assistant through an auditable message history.
Retrieval augments generation with a vector store connected to core Illinois and Cook County sources.
When you’re in an active case, upload PDF filings, extract the text, and edit into Markdown or plain text before it is included in the drafting context protocol.
Storage remains subscription-based. Assistant usage now runs on a prepaid credit balance that is charged in the app and applied against the shared OpenAI assistant account.
Mirrors storage pricing at Gidgebot.com.
Add credits in the billing UI to fund the assistant OpenAI account. For non-owner users, the same amount is reserved locally as that user’s quota until it is consumed. Token usage varies by thread length, filing size, and drafting instructions. As a rough guide, 1 token ≈ 4 characters of English text (so ~750 words ≈ 1,000 tokens), depending on formatting and content.
